Lets go through the simple stuff first 1/ Is there an Ethernet port on this computer? If so it will be configured as the default route. Delete the ethernet connection in mcc or set it to not start on boot. 2/Have you set a password on your wireless? Is it Hex or Ascii? If Ascii you must prefix it with s: in the config window in MCC, as in :- s:asciistring 3/ What version of Mandriva is this? I recall some kernel versions did not support wireless encryption.
