Mikkel, it did not help. Still lost the connection. So I did a clean install, 
totally clean, cause I was dual booting with M$ XP and got ticked cause it 
had so much of my hard drive and wasn't using it. Wiped out M$ and 
reformatted, installed with the sourceforge ndiswrapper tar and now 
everything is working like it should. I have no idea where the conflict was 
unless it was with the ndiswrapper I was using. Thanks for everyones help.
