There's an errata page on one of the Mandriva sites but this is the short poop on it. When it finds the SATA the installer will ask you to either accept it or if you have something else. Click on the one to search for another driver. Find and install ata_piix and then proceed with the install. It will find your internal hard drive. Don't, whatever you do, leave any USB drives plugged in or the installer will happily install the distro there instead of the internal drive. This process also needs to be done with some Toshiba Satellite laptops. Mostly mine. :-) ttfn John
