That command is good. I just tried it.
If you copied/pasted the command into a terminal your problem may be a line 
break inserted by your mail client. The command has to be all on one line 
with spaces separating each part.

The original poster John Bowden did however post yesterday that in the end he 
used this server instead
ftp://ftp.proxad.net/pub/Distributions_Linux/Mandrake/official/updates/LE2005/RPMS/
