The CD's will upgrade what they have RPMs for. The trick, or annoyance, is that it keeps all your settings in your home directory unless you take them out and restart KDE, GNOME and such. The other little annoyance is that you have to manually install the upgrades for packages that only exist on sources online. URPMI can do that for you in an automated kind of way, btw. If you think upgrading MDK is a pain, just try it with Fedora! Awful! In Red Hat's "better Windows than Windows" they've copied that feature from the Redmond behemoth...upgrades that fsck the system. ttfn John
