O.k seems the printer was shared all the time. Let me explain. I had
done a
fresh install 10.1 to 2005led I kept the localhost (jack-linux) name the
same. The default printer on my windoz machine was epsonstulus62 on
jack-linux in the 10.1 install, it was called the same in the 2005led
install. When I sent a doc to the default printer in win it was just putting
it into a Que until the printer came on line, which it never would because it
was now on jack-linux 2005led installation. In 10.1 I would just start the
samba browser and double click the printer and any of the directories on
which ever machine's I was running for that session. The printer is on my
Mandriva box as its always the first to be fired up. When I did this on 2005
it was actually asking me which file I wanted to print, defaulting to
"/home/john/print.ps" and giving me a dialogue box to go looking for a file.
The .ps was the give away.
To sort out the problem all I had to do was to delete the default
printer in
windoz and reinstall it (networked printer) again.
