Hi all:

This is the first time I write in this list, and I do it because there's
something that's driving me crazy.
Just a suggestion, Juan. Do you have an older reader drive that you could
install? I have a gut feeling that these most modern very fast drives
sometimes cause these problems.

Of course I could be totally wrong.....

Anne
I agree with Anne, I had to install with a regular CDROM drive after burning with a DVD writer. The DVD writer would then read errors while the CDROM would install normally. Strange?

Yeah, it's really strange. I had installed LE 2005 before with my cousin's CD-RW drive, but now I don't have another one, and now that I want to check 2006 beta 2, I can't. Besides, I looke at Mandriva's supported hardware page, and my burner's model is not listed ther, unless they hadn't updated the page lately.

Well, I'll have to see if I can get an older cd Rom reader. Thanks anyway.

Juan Carlos Olvera Guerrero.
