| Why are we even bothering to just start throwing out suggestions about
| changing the software the bloke is using? There is obviously something
| more going on - below the level of application software. I myself
| witnessed this upon my first installation of LE2005 - so we need to
| think a bit lower down than the application level - such as if the
| mount point has been "automagically" changed - or if the fstab has been
| modified - and such.
|
| So being that it worked before, what has changed since that point? Was
| there a system upgrade done? (URPMI or similar) A kernel change? fstab
| change?
When I up'd to 2005LED, I was unable to burn CD's. K3b defaults to using
cdrecord to burn disks, so I enabled manual application selection, and
tried cdrdao which works. I now use 2006.0, but have not tried cdresord
again yet. Could this be a similar issue?
