|- I agree the core design if windoz needs rewriting. But the user does
have a
|- part to play. A lot of PC users treat PC's as a consumer product, IE
like a
|- stereo or tv system. You just switch on and use. They don't spend the
time to
|- learn about their system. When they get a virus or some other nasty
they take
|- their machine to a shop or the local geek (me) to get it fixed. In my
case I
|- recommend they get a good quality anti virus package, not one of the
free
|- windoz ones. they then install it and expect all their problems to go
away.
|- They still don't bother to learn what viruses, worms or Trojans are and

|- they work. These people don't know the difference between the O/S and
the
|- game / word processor they are running, or that there are alternatives

|- windoz. Its up to likes of you and me to educate these people. People

|- cons. Then I give them a copy of mandrake move to play with.
