Either that, or you can actually use the original boot disk, hit F1 and type in "rescue" to load up rescue mode. Once there, simply mount your partitions and then edit the lilo.conf to add the option. I think that it mounts the partitions in a /mnt partition so you should be able to find the conf file in /mnt/etc directory. Then reinstall the bootloader so that it updates lilo and restart. You can add the noapic option the same way.
