The file `libdvdread.so.3' is present, in /usr/local/lib, but both > programs don't seem to see it. How comes libdvdread.so.3 is in /usr/local/lib? You must have either installed a non Mandriva package or else have compiled your own. It would be in /usr/lib/ if you had installed the Mandriva libdvdread3 package. To install the libdvdread3 package simply use the Install GUI in MandrivaControlCentre>Software. If you really want to use the non Mandriva libdvdread3 package you have installed then you must add the path /usr/local/lib to the file /etc/ld.so.conf and then run 'ldconfig' derek -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org
