If these files were the only files in the directory, I'd have suggested 1) putting the names in single quotes rather than double quotes, 2) Doing a "rm -rf folder" on the folder itself, and 3) using "mc" aka midnight commander to delete the files individually, which I have had to do on at least three occasions.
