Most of the time I can't get past the opening splash screen :(. for me, cdrecord/cdrdao/growisofs are what I use depending on what kind of media I want to use. I lack dvd-ram ATM but am planning on experimenting with udftools as well, simply because it would be cool just to use the dvd disk as a (small) removable hard drive (guess those zip folks are kind of upset) :). Most of the time, the command line tools work just as well unless you have a lot of files in different directories, or if the files themselves have a lot of spaces in them. bash gets horribly confused sometimes when that happens. And for situations like that, I use gcombust - it works reasonably well. It (like other gnome/gtk apps) has troubles finding files inside hidden (leading period) directories - for the latest cd I burned, I had to move those files into another folder that gcombust could access. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ David E. Fox Thanks for letting me [EMAIL PROTECTED] change magnetic patterns [EMAIL PROTECTED] on your hard disk. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
