I totally agree with you. Having an ext3 partition to put commun lin/win file is obviously the better solution to share files (like photos, videos, texts and so on...) between the two systems. FOr example on this site, you can find find everything to install very easily a driver for ext fs on winzob : http://www.fs-driver.org/index.html. It's just a click and run installation prog and then you can name a /common partition for linux that might be called F:\ on windôbe. The advantage is that you don't have defragment every week this old FAT32 . Just be aware that permissions are not the same for windose and linux, so don't mount the root partition in windows as it would be dongerous to leave a free acces to password files or other restricted access files. -- Christophe
