Greetings all,

As several of you here on this list know about my SoS ( http://seerofsouls.com ) rpm repository for Mandriva I am posting this message here for anyone who might be interested.  Since we build the latest packages(a lot of backporting from Cooker) for the latest stable release of Mandriva, today we announce a few new rpms that ya'll might be interested in.  We have added Xfce-4.2.2 rpms as well as E17 rpms.  Wondering what E17 is ?  E17 is enlightenments future.  Also known as DR17.  It's still in development, however, it runs very good and very stable at this point.  It's not complete, and probably won't be for quite a while.  It's become my window manager of choice since I used E16, better known as enlightenment, for nearly a year and am very comfortable with it.

Just go to http://seerofsouls.com and then click on the Rpm Repository link on the left.  Then in the main box you will see information about adding the Xfce-4.2.2 and E17 repos to your online sources.  Everything should go smoothly.  For E17 unfortunately there isn't ONE rpm that will bring in all of the others with it.  So it's best to do multiple packages on one line such as:

urpmi e engage e_utils e_modules evas esmart ecore edje

You can do many more as you will probably want all of the rpms there to make E17 better to use and easier to configure.  If you just do the 'E' apps it will bring in the necessary libs packages of course.   Also on E17 I have a section on my forum specifically about E17 that has some great info.  A lot of it is for new E17 users and gives a lot of configuration commands.  You can find that forum at:  http://linuxfordummies.org  Soon that info will be moved to the SoS forum which is just getting starting and can be found at: http://seerofsouls.com/forum  That is where all information concerning new rpm releases and such will be mentioned as I start to grow that forum.

If anyone has any questions or comments please let me know and I'm glad to help in any way that I possibly can.

Hope ya'll enjoy the new rpms and find them useful.
