Hmm - now instead of a non-working tray icon I have no icon at 
all.  :-(  I'll wait to see what happens in the morning when I boot up 
again.

Just two comments, JD.  In your paragraph '2.' where you say 'the bottom 
package is for the source', I would, for clarity's sake say 'source-rpm'.  
Do you agree?

Second point, in paragraph '4' I would always recommend 'Open With.... 
Software Installer'.  I could be wrong, but I think this keeps the package 
database in better order than KPackage.

That said, thanks for writing it up.  I'm sure it will help many.
