I've spent so much time mucking about with xfce4 that I'm not sure where
I am with letting you know about my progress :-), and I cleaned up my
email and emptied everything, so couldn't check.
I now have xfce4 going, and it is very nice. I went to #mandriva and
takeaction and hawkwind both helped, but takeaction got me going last
night. I can't remember the exact sequence of commands now. First you
need to go to SoS and add their xfce4 RPMS -

takeaction gave me a command to use, but not sure now if used it
immediately or did urpmi xfce4 first. I'd suggest try adding the
sources, do update, then urpmi xfce4, then urpmi --auto-select. I'll
try and catch him in #mandriva and ask for the sequence, or go there
yourself maybe. takeaction, hawkwind and vern are the ones who have it
going, oh and YankDownUnder.
If you don't use IRC, just open ksirc or xchat, go to server freenode,
and channel #mandriva.
