If linux is already installed and running and asuming it's Mandriva: Fire up diskdrake (or "cfdisk" or "fdisk") and create a new partition with vfat or NTFS as file system. Make sure it's the first partition on the HD...... i.e. /dev/hda1 or /dev/hdb1 ....and set it bootable. Taking Ted's first post I'm asuming it's going to be /dev/hdb. Then reset the boot order of yer harddisks in the BIOS so that the second becomes the first and install windows as you like. To be realy sure you could even disconnect (or remove the power jack) of the HD containing Linux during the winders installation. If that worked you can boot either one by changing the boot order at will on start up. When all that is done successfully come back here, on how to get your linux bootloader to have an option to boot fwinders (or look for it yourself.....it's easy enough). That way you wont have to fiddle with the HD boot-order everytime. -- Good luck, HarM
