The thing I like about konsole is the possibility to open more shells on top 
of each other.
That way it's easier to recognize if I'm running in su mode or not (root and 
user shells have different colours) and to keep things like "tail 
-f /var/log/messages" running whilst running commands in other shells.

Saves a lot of clutter on the desktops, not mentioning the saved space on the 
panel:)
