Your logs are in /var/log The particular log you want to see is /var/log/boot.log Also of interest is /var/log/dmesg and /var/log/syslog Only root user can read the logs so either open a terminal enter 'su' to become root user, then less /var/log/boot.log syslog is always huge and it will take a long time to reach the end of the log file with 'less', so if you want to just read the end do tail -n 100 /var/log/syslog You can also read the dmesg file with the command 'dmesg' derek -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org
