Start a separate thread about firewire hard drives.  Someone else may be 
using one.

With this problem I would go to the mjpegtools user list, as I know many 
people there use that capture card - it's highly recommended by them.  
The list address is [email protected] and you can sign 
up for the list from the sourceforge pages.  It's not a high-volume 
list, but it is very helpful.
