That's so out of date it's in a different world.  It may let you get 
back a little into the feel for linux, but believe me it has very 
little in common with the modern distro.

Wrong.  There is some printed documentation, still, I believe, but all 
the documentation is on disk.  You'll miss nothing, other than a pack 
of paper to print out bits that you want to keep handy.
