Sadly, I had almost the same experience.
Some time ago, however I spoke with a salesman from Dell
Denmark who told me they could deliver a Dimension PC with a
*rudimentary DOS*. Don't know if it still holds, though.
Ever heard of another company who makes it very hard to buy
their products ?
