If you have the main repository configured, then you should find a package
there called MySQL-Max which should do the trick (at least it does in 2005LE,
should be the same in 2006). It will uninstall and replace your existing
MySQL rpm.
When I installed Mandriva 2006 RC1 I chose the option to copy the entire
CDs to disk before starting the install. After install I didn't do
anything special, just opened the package installer and searched for
MySQL. I don't see anything about MySQL-Max.
While looking at the expanded notes in the package installer I noticed that
it said Max was added some years ago.
So what do you think?
Can someone with RC2 tell me if they have the Max version available?
Thanks,
Matt
