I got a similar problem with my ISP's mail server some weeks ago. Neither
fetchmail and Thunderbird could log to my account (error was invalid
password). I was still able to use their web interface. After a couple of
hours, the service was back on track. I called their tech support, and they
confirmed it was a problem on their side.
