Hi,
I upgraded to 2006 the other day and, to make a long story short, I shut
down my computer improperly which caused me to get a ton of hard drive
errors.
I did a fresh install today but I can't get things working right. When I
did the original install I got it to boot and start KDE. Now that I've
done a new install it boots to to a command line. If I tell it to
startx, it refuses, saying it can't find any screens. It also indicates
it's an X.org problem.
Any ideas what could be wrong? How come it worked on Sunday but it won't
work anymore?
