Damn, I wish I'd read that before I did a complete reinstall (update didn't work). Oh well, it takes under an hour to reinstall my system, since I made a DVD with all my contrib and PLF RPMs on it! Am now downloading Hawkwind's E17 files from SoS in the hope that they may be less dangerous than the Sourceforge ones. I don't know why I'm so set on playing with E17 - maybe it's nostalgia, since Enlightenment was the first WM I ever used. Sir Robin
