Politicians can mess up anything! From the sounds of the artical, the
problem is more that ICAN isn't under their control, rather then the
fact that it is under US control. While I agree that removing the
control of the US department of commerce is a good thing, I don't see
giving control to the EU as an improvement.
But I can understand the politicians wanting to control the Internet -
free, open, and easy access to information is the last thing they want!
People might even start holding them responsible for their actions if
they have an easy way to find out what they are doing!
