Hmmm.... I'm wondering why a beta is included in a major, and
hopefully stable, 2006 release? I love the idea of kat - don't get me

I may, but might fiddle with it too. It's a nice idea.

I'm confused. (1) I saw 99+% CPU in top, from kded. (2) when kat quits
[from within kat], kded 'disappears' from top, and X is now using 99+%
CPU. If kat and kded are completely different, why do they seem so
intertwined?

(3) if I crash kat, neither kded or X seem to use much CPU, for days
on end. Again, it looks like they seem to be closely related.

Perhaps you could explain why such separate things seem so closely
related.
