Okay, I got that working and as user I can now open xterms again. One down.
Thanks for that!

The USBstick still mounts as before though, it shows as if it is empty-
Ah... seems I now have to mount it by hand where in MDK10.0 it
automounted. Weird. Is there a workaround for that?

I am also trying to get python's develpackage (I need that to install
getmail), but that does not go well either:

Calling the installer (python setyup.py install) returns
"invalid Python installation: unable to open
usr/lib/python2.4/config/Makefile (No such file or directory)"

I already downloaded Python2.4.2 and built/installed that by hand, but
that does not contain the devel package. Looked for it online (rpm.bone
etc) but no fun there either.

Any help in that would be good too. Or could I setup Python 2.3 from
mdk10.0 for this? That always worked fine.
