Just a note of thanks to the two who helped me out on the problem below and 
to let you know what happened.

After I changed the group name to the same thing and properly configured 
Samba, all three machines could see each other.  That left the problem of 
the printer.  I tried everything I could think of and had been advised to 
do, but I could never get the Printer GUI in MCC to see the printer.

Since I had ordered Mandriva Linux 2006 from Cheapbytes, I gave up on that 
problem with 2005.  When 2006 arrived, I installed it, and it found the 
printer without problem.
