I'm not running Mozilla apps on this box. It's been built as a pure number 
cruncher box so has a minimum install. I turned it off for a longer period 
and then went thru mcc enabling and then disabling the services again. So far 
it is behaving itself so this might be cured now. Will leave it running 
over-night to confirm X is not going to slip into runaway mode again.
