Hello, A bit of help please.
Went to delete a windows partition on any empty disc and convert it to ext3, but have been hit by the following error message. partitions sector #1869771365 (80GB) and sector #1701519481 (891GB) are overlapping! How can I translate the above into which is the affected disc? FSTAB follows. # This file is edited by fstab-sync - see 'man fstab-sync' for details /dev/hdb1 / ext3 defaults 1 1 /dev/hda6 /backup ext3 defaults 1 2 /dev/hdd1 /backup2 ext3 defaults 1 2 /dev/hdb6 /home ext3 defaults 1 2 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom auto umask=0022,user,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec,users 0 0 none /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=ext2:vfat,--,umask=0022,iocharset=iso8859-15,sync,codepage=850 0 0 /dev/hda1 /mnt/win_c ntfs umask=0022,nls=iso8859-15,ro 0 0 /dev/hda5 /mnt/win_d vfat uid=steve,gid=steve 0 0 none /proc proc defaults 0 0 /dev/hdb5 swap swap defaults 0 0 /dev/sdb /mnt/removable1 vfat pamconsole,exec,noauto,noatime,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-15,managed 0 0 /dev/sda1 /mnt/USBDISKPRO vfat pamconsole,exec,noauto,noatime,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-15,managed 0 0 Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hdb1 11G 3.5G 6.5G 35% / /dev/hda6 25G 129M 23G 1% /backup /dev/hdd1 19G 129M 18G 1% /backup2 /dev/hdb6 29G 23G 6.9G 77% /home /dev/hda1 15G 11G 4.7G 69% /mnt/win_c /dev/hda5 36G 1.6G 34G 5% /mnt/win_d /dev/hdc 4.4G 4.4G 0 100% /mnt/cdrom /dev/sda1 245M 180K 245M 1% /mnt/USBDISKPRO /dev/sdb 1.4M 498K 926K 35% /mnt/removable1 -- Regards, Steve Goodey Colchester, England. mail-to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.stevegoodey.com http://www.bbcfactual.com Registered Linux user #372670 http://counter.li.org
