I was thinking of combining my pctv computer media center and the server into one machine after buying a new mobo/ram/cpu/case.Does anyone use a miro PCTV card in their Mandriva PC to watch tv? Is there some special setup/driver I need or will Mandriva detect it automatically?I currently have a celeron 433 with dvdrom and pctv card for multimedia but will upgrade probably to a sempron 2000+ (or so) with 512Mb RAM and a mobo (FOXCONN?) with builtin sound/video/lan. I might buy a local magazine which has Mandrive 2005LE on it so I have the latest version to install as well.
Okay. So I reinstalled with Mandrivalinux 2006 and it detects the card and all, but when I set it to "Australia" "PAL" and "Autodetect" for tuner and maker it scans for channels, but never finds any channels at all. Tried switching to Miro for maker and different tuners but still finds nothing. I know there are channels there cos the card worked when in a PC with Windows 98se and could find all the channels.
Anyone have a cluebat for me?
