Open a terminal and type 'vimtutor' (without the quotes) at the prompt
will bring it up.

I cannot recall if vimtutor was part of vim-common in 8.2, or if it was
a separate application. The problem is that 8.2 is so old now, few if
any of us here will still have it around let alone running.

So until your CDs ariive I would be studying vimbook-OPL.pdf - it's a
very good tutorial for vi(m).

Yeah, we've all been there at some point, keep on bashing at it, it'll
