Not sure what the OSS driver or ALSA driver are called for your particular 
system, but mine (I have SB Live 5.1 currently) but I am showing a choice of 
3.....

Audigy, snd-emu10k1 (ALSA) & emu10k1 (OSS).

Basically, (in my experience) ALSA drivers are prefixed with snd- and OSS is 
just a straight driver name with no snd-

Have a shot.... it may be worth it!
