That's probably a wise choice. There is bound to be someone in a Linux User Group near you who can burn you a copy. The easiest way to start is to use KnoppMyth as both a backend server and a front end client on the same computer, and then try a front end client on a remote computer. There is nothing stopping you running Knoppmyth on the server and Mandriva on your front end client computers, other than the version of Myth has to match on them both.
