I don't think anyone should be penalized for their opinion. I don't think any less (or more) from people's response to the article. I came to Linux for a different, but compelling reason, I was broke. For the majority of people I know, Mandriva and KDE do everything they want, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet. I like Mandriva much better than I like Windows. I feel I have more control. I also have more stability. I enjoy the learning so I guess that I fit the hobbyist label even though I haven't compiled the kernel yet :) I picked Mandriva because the people here are friendly and helpful. I know in my heart that this is not going to change.
