Jim, You should probably start a new discussion thread as this one is for a differnet problem than you are having...... Based on the limited information you provided it looks as if you are having problems automatically launching X at boot. Please give more information so someone can assist. Is this a fresh install and after the 1st reboot the problem started or did you just upgrade? If upgrade, what version to what version? Or did you have an operating GUI on some version of Mandriva and just install new updates such as XORG and then the problems started? What brand and model of video card are you using. Are you using video card drivers automatically selected by Mandriva install medea or did you get them from some other source? Specific solutions vary but a start would be to run MCC logged in as root user and then get to XFDrake for configuring your video display and set it up for a more generic driver without 3D to see if you can get GUI back to start. -Bill ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
