Hi, I have just installed Mandriva 2006 Powerpack. I edited /etc/sudousers with visudo:
# User privilege specification root ALL=(ALL) ALL oliver ALL=(ALL) ALL # Uncomment to allow people in group wheel to run all commands %adm ALL=(ALL) ALL But sudo still refuses the root password. The sudo troubleshooting FAQ says that sudo installations may not notice the use of "shadow passwords" by the system, but I can't find the config file it mentions to verify this. In any case, it's hard to believe that this shipped with a useless sudo setup. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
