Sounds like a problem in what it thinks your default printer is. The toolbar 
button sends the doc directly to the default printer, or to the last printer 
you used (at least, I think that's how it works, I could be wrong). 

For some reason, possibly related to deleting and reinstalling the printer, 
the first time you try to print, it tries to send to some non-existent 
printer. After you print to the real printer, the button knows where to send 
the docs, but just for that session.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to set OO.o's default printer. See if 
there's something in options or printer settings (though I couldn't find 
anything in 00.o 1; I'm not on 2 yet). Or you could uninstall and reinstall 
00.o.
