Before buying a Dell printer, check if you can get cartridges for it
elsewhere - a friend of mine has a Dell printer (I'm afraid I don't know
what model) and can ONLY buy cartridges for it from Dell - the printer
was cheap to buy, but costs her a fortune to run!
I agree totally with Margot. I know for a fact that (as an example)
LexMark Optra toner cartridges are super-expensive compared to Brother
and/or HP toner cartridges. To top it all off, a lot of the Brother
Laser printers are getting very inexpensive and Brother seems to be
getting into the Linux frame of mind with a pretty good selection of
printer drivers (PPD files) available for Linux from one of their websites.
