I should have also said. For any user you want to connect to by vnc create a 
directory ~/.vnc containing the files xstartup and passwd both with 
permissions 644. xstartup should be executable.

xstartup should contain a script to start X. For example
#!/bin/bash 
startkde &

passwd contains the password for this vnc server and is not necessarily the 
same as the user logon password. Create it with vncpasswd
