Here's the script I use in KMail, in case it might be of use. Haven't used
Evolution in a long time, so can't verify that it's usable in Evo. I'll
comment out all of the lines (the only one that needs to stay commented in
the usable version is the /bin/bash line, of course.)
#!/bin/bash
#STR=$(uptime)
#TIME=${STR% user*}
#RESULT=${TIME% *}
#echo -n $RESULT
#echo " running $(cat /etc/mandrake-release), kernel $(uname -r)"
#echo "Registered Linux user #324360"
#echo
#/usr/games/fortune
OK, I am still missing something here. When I try to run the script,
I get "Command not found". I have tried it with the first line
commented out, or not commented, and it seems to make no difference.
I did make it executable. I must be missing something simple, so if
you have any idea, I would appreciate it.
Regards,
