This is true. I started the message thinking of just backing up one
users' folder, and that you can do simply with the steps I mentioned
(just copy your user's folder instead of the /home folder). I didn't
think of correcting the "but this needs root" part... Sorry.

Adriano, I see no reason to aplogize, at all. I was just adding in a bit of info that may or may not be a stumbling block for some 'ultra-newbie' , and I bet there are other spots someone else might give advice about , (like showing hidden files to make sure the hidden files and folders also get copied, since most of the configuration files start with a '.' and so are hidden)
