Martell, Larry got an infinite number of monkeys to type out:
I copied over my Pekwm source dirs to my new machine using scp, but it seems
to have ignored all of the .o (object files) and the executable (???). I've
read the manpage for scp, and I don't see anything about it skipping certain
types of files. All other files were copied OK, looks like. What's up?
scp should not skip certain files type. I would check the permissions
on the target. I don't think it will overwrite a file that you don't have
write permission on. Also, unless you specify -r it will not copy any
directories.
Hmmm, I did use the -r switch, but I'll check the perms. Wouldn't it error out
if there was a problem with the perms on the destination dir?
Thanks!
what command did you use (scp -r *.* ?)
