I upgraded my desktop from mandrake 9.2 to 2005 limited edition Things seemed okay but not long after the computer justs reboots after a software shutdown from windows or from linux.
The only way to turn it off is to switch it off as soon as it has shut down. When I switch it on sometimes nothing happens. When I rang my pc vendor they asked if the fans goes so I switched it on - no fan. However when i came back later it had booted. Before i take it in for servicing i would like to establish that this is a hardware problem and not some setting in the bootloader.
