I had dragged a rectangle with the mouse in the preview pane, so it was only scanning part of the, er, scannable area, and missing what I was scanning. 'Course now that I figured *that* out, it's starting to have problems communicating with the scanner. I prolly broke it. Oh well, it's cheap crap anyway. I hear Epsons are really well supported.
