Not a member of any LUG's. My nearest is a bit far away to travel to by public transport, but I lurk around this and the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list to help out whenever I can. I also "fix" a lot of windows boxes for beer money. I do a lot of preaching about linux to these unfortunate windows folks telling them the pros and cons of the two o/S's and showing them my desktop (Mandriva 2006) in use. I have got one of my friends, my Dad and my uncle experimenting with Mandriva. When I did factory / wherehouse work I would try and convert them to the benefits as well. Unfortunately their IT people were generally m$ certificated or had their IT stuff contracted out. I am doing up my flat at the moment and plan on doing a IT course over the next few years (on line), as i fancy a career change. Too cold to be a bricklayer during the winter in these parts! When I have finished those I might set up a local LUG here in Telford.
