Greetings
I have 2006.0 loaded on a Thinkpad Z60m. Everything works to my satisfaction,
mostly. The problem I have at the moment is Bluetooth. When I installed the
system, I had Bluetooth disabled in the hardware setup, because I didn't want
it at the time, partly to avoid my system being detected by some of my
colleagues' cellular phones.
A friend came to visit with a Sony-Ericsson phone with bluetooth. I tried to
get the PC to detect his phone. I enabled the bluetooth interface and
installed everything I could find with "bluetooth" in either the name or
description and yet I still can't seem to find where to set it up. The
"bluetooth" system service is enabled.
Perhaps another important thing to mention is that I generally use WindowMaker
as opposed to a "desktop environment" like KDE or Gnome. I did try logging
into KDE to see if it would somehow miraculously detect the bluetooth stuff,
but no luck.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (Especially a command line based
solution.)
cheers
Duncan
